This is your gateway to the NHS. It costs nothing. You do not need to be a British citizen. You do not need to have settled status confirmed. In Scotland, everyone who lives here has the right to access NHS care, and registering with a GP is how you begin.
The first step is finding a practice that is accepting new patients in your area. NHS Inform, the official Scottish health information website, has a tool that lets you search by postcode. Once you have identified a practice, you will need to visit in person or, in some cases, submit a registration form online or by post.
